“Don’t make the Americans happy”: in Kemerovo, a woman called for hiding the death toll. VIDEO
During a rally on the central square in Russian Kemerovo after a fire in the Winter Cherry shopping center, one of those present suggested not publishing data on the dead so as not to please the Americans.
Some Putin supporters at the rally on March 27 advised their fellow citizens “not to please the Americans,” writes RBC.
“Don’t even think about divulging how many died. We have a lot of Mormons here, Americans. Please don't make them happy. It doesn’t need to bring them such joy...” the woman said. “Yes, Americans will only be happy if they find out that there are fewer of us!” There is no need to give them a gift now! There is no need to please the Americans now! We just need to punish the brigade that didn’t save! Do you want to please the Americans?! No need!"
After this, people from the crowd began to shout: “What do the Americans have to do with it?”
The “decaying West” and member of the Russian Federation Council Elena Mizulina blamed the tragedy in Kemerovo on Vladimir Solovyov’s talk show.
“I would like to express words of condolences and support to our leader Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin... For him, this is a stab in the back, this is a terrible shock! It was no coincidence that he came there. Because what he is doing for Russia today is incredible, defending Russia in the external arena, while carrying out incredible reforms internally. And suddenly - so mediocre! Behind him! And he has no time to constantly look back at how they are finishing what he decides, breaking through the walls,” she said and added that Putin is a “spiritual warrior” for Russians.
