Kindness extends life: Russian Center in San Francisco invites to a charity ball

The Russian Center in San Francisco invites you to a charity ball. This event - A great occasion to spend an evening in a pleasant company of compatriots, enjoy excellent music, delicious treats and at the same time do a good deed.

It offers Russian folk and gypsy music, performances by guest celebrities, as well as a reception, dinner, entertainment and dancing.

The ball will take place at the Russian Center in San Francisco on 14 September. Tickets can be purchased here.

Who will help the guests of the ball

The money collected during the event will be transferred to three charitable organizations.

1. “Dunya's Fund”, Congress of Russian Americans

Congress of Russian Americans created the Duni Foundation to help little Evdokia Bykon, who was born with a cleft spine (a birth defect that occurs when the spine and spinal cord do not form properly). As a result of the disease, the girl is paralyzed below the chest. During the first 5 years of life, she underwent 7 operations. But the complete victory over the disease Duna is still far away. She learned to sit on her own, ride in a wheelchair. The girl has very strong hands.

Recently, her father Alexei Bykon (pastor of St. Nicholas Cathedral in San Francisco) found out about a new treatment for spinal cleft, which includes stem cell replacement. The neurosurgeons who help Duna are optimistic about the possible outcome of such treatment for the girl. However, this requires a lot of money, because it is available only outside the United States and is not covered by insurance.

2. St. George Pathfinders, Inc. Russian Scouts in America.

3. Russian Children's Benevolent Society, Inc.

This fund was founded by Russian immigrants in New York in the 1926 year. They saw their mission in helping Russian children around the world, starting with orphanages. For many years, the Society has been helping orphans, seriously ill patients, people with disabilities and other disadvantaged Russian children in different countries.

Entertainment at the event

• 19: 00 - champagne reception, performance by classical guitarist Yuri Liberzon.
• 19: 50 - US Anthem and "God Save the Tsar" performed by Valentina Swinger. The prayer and blessing of the Lord.
• 20: 00 - dinner, during which guests await the performance of the Dance Academy named after HELL. Sukachev, symphony orchestra, Alla Markovich, Valentina Sweringen, as well as a speech by the chairman of the Russian Center in San Francisco.
• 21: 15 - Russian dances performed by Vladimir Ryazantsev and dancers of the Russian Center.
• 21: 45 - announcement of the winners of the lottery.
• 22: 00 - dancing to Russian music.

Dress code: White Tie or Black Tie for men, long ball gowns for women. Deadline for purchasing tickets is September 11; tickets will not be sold at the entrance. More information on link.
