An immigrant who has become a symbol of America: after 37 years in Hollywood, Keanu Reeves still does not have US citizenship
Canadian actor Keanu Reeves has said he would consider becoming a US citizen. And this is 37 years after moving to Hollywood at the age of 20. The edition told in more detail Daily Mail.
During the Jimmy Kimmel Live talk show, the Lebanese-born, 58-year-old John Wick star recalled growing up in Toronto, Canada, and wanted to be an actor since she was 15.
“I came to Hollywood when I was 20, driving my car,” said the actor. “I have lived here since 1985.”
However, Reeves admitted that he is "still Canadian", which drew applause from the audience.

When asked if he was thinking about naturalization, Reeves replied: "Yes, absolutely, and why not."
Kimmel immediately pulled citizenship papers from under the table and joked that he would be willing to marry Reeves to speed up the process.
"But you're married," the Matrix actor said.
Kimmel replied, "I know, but I told my wife that we might have to make some adjustments to our family."

Kimmel's pal Guillermo Rodriguez, a Mexican-American, assured Reeves that becoming an American would be the right thing to do.
The late-night talk show host said he'd even throw a party to celebrate if he went through with the process.
Reeves said that he is most interested in obtaining dual citizenship.
