Keanu Reeves was jokingly invited to a wedding in Britain, and he took it and came: this is not the first such trick of the star

Hollywood star Keanu Reeves left the British newlywed couple in awe when he appeared at their August 15 wedding in Northamptonshire. Dailymail.

The Hollywood actor crossed paths with sales rep James Roadknight, 35, and Nikki, 34, who works with dogs, on their wedding day because he was staying at their four-star hotel, where rooms start at $300 per person per night and up to $560.

Keanu Reeves has done this trick not once but twice in his own eccentric style.

Back in August 2018, Keanu posed for a photo with newlywed couple Moray and Moru when he bumped into them on the street after their ceremony in New York City.

Slange Keetles, who designed the groom's outfit, tweeted at the time: "Best #wedding photo EVER! Moray and Mora recently got married in New York and were #photobombed by a rather scruffy guy passing by. We think Moray looks much better than Keanu Reeves in his stylish @slanjkilts. Modern Inglis #tartan #kilt and Midnight Blue Crail kilt!!”

Then, in September of that year, Keanu showed up at the three-star Dream Inn in Santa Cruz, California, where he surprised fiancee Leslie and her husband, Jarrod, whose mom Darlett is his "big" fan.

Darlett said: “He was, so to speak, the icing on the cake! I thought, "I can't believe this is Keanu Reeves, right here."

“He was such a sweet, sweet man. We walked in and he was in his motorcycle gear, drinking coffee or something, and we interrupted him and he was so kind,” she said.

On August 15, Nikki and James' reception was unforgettable as the "Matrix" star came to celebrate their day with them shortly after the couple said "yes" to each other and the groom ran into Reeves at the bar.

The F1 fan Keanu is believed to have stayed at the luxury hotel while working on a racing league documentary for Disney+.

“My husband saw him at the bar and told him he just got married and invited Keanu to come say hello and have a drink with us if he wanted,” Nikki said. “He was very friendly and said he would do it later.” We didn't know if he would or not, but it was great that my husband talked to him!”

The guests at the wedding were delighted when the star accepted the couple's proposal, giving them an extra touch on their special day.

Nikki said: “He was so kind and friendly and congratulated us on our wedding. He was kind enough to take some pictures and our wedding photographer was able to capture them too! He then took the time to talk to some of our guests and take some more photos!”

"I was amazed. Keanu Reeves is my favorite movie star, so if I could choose anyone to meet, it would be him. The fact that this happened on my wedding day was beyond dreams. He held my hand, hugged me and congratulated me - it was just surreal. While my bridesmaid was adjusting my dress, someone from the audience said that there was a special guest outside,” Nikki said. “I went out into the yard, and there he was.” Keanu Reeves was at our reception. I think I blurted out a few words along the lines of “welcome to our wedding, my name is Nikki, would you like a drink?” He said he had a long flight and politely declined before spending about 10 or 15 minutes taking pictures with all of us. Towards the end there were fans crowding around, and I even said, “Would you like me to help you out?” He said everything was fine and continued to make time for everyone - he was just the sweetest guy."

“He was so humble and kind. I got the impression that he was genuinely happy to be there too. He didn't have to come, but he went above and beyond to make it happen, and that's something we'll remember forever. I'm a big fan of the Matrix movies, I watched them over and over again, and I also had a crush on him in the Speed ​​movies, what girl wouldn't? My late uncle, who couldn't be with us, was a huge fan of his, so Keanu's appearance was only appropriate, he would have loved it,” Nikki says. “We have friends in Florida, and our wedding photos were on the news there.” We are ordinary people, this doesn’t happen to us, everything was very strange.”

James added: “I was at the bar earlier that day and one of the staff said that Keanu Reeves had stayed. So I went to the garden where he had a pint of beer to introduce himself to him. I shook his hand, said that today was my wedding day, and said that it would be great if he came to the reception later. I said that my wife would like to meet him and that he couldn't help but notice her because she would be wearing a big white dress and he laughed."

“He congratulated me and was just amazingly friendly. He said he'd see what he could do, but he was just getting ready for lunch, so I left and didn't think about it anymore. We continued the evening and I was on the dance floor when our wedding photographer told me that we had a VIP outside. “I was so happy he came, it was just the cherry on top of an already magical day,” James said. “He spent a lot of time taking pictures with us, as well as with our guests. He was so humble and such a normal guy. He had that special aura that he has in his films.”

“We love The Matrix and all the John Wick films. My mother-in-law made everyone yell “Speed” while she took our photo. It was kind of funny since it's obviously one of his older films, although it's still good. He was a great guy and we were so grateful that he gave us his time to make our big day even more memorable,” James added.

The Hollywood star is reportedly working on an untitled four-part documentary series centered around Formula 1 managing director Ross Brawn.

Keanu also stunned visitors to a pub in a Northamptonshire village - he appeared at a dinner at a local establishment.

The Matrix actor walked into The Fox and Hounds in Charvelton, where he enjoyed chatting with visitors and taking pictures.

The owner of the house, Danny Ricks, said he had to inadvertently take two photos when the movie star walked in and sat down at a table with six other people.

For the first, the actor ate a veggie Caesar salad, followed by a falafel main course, washed down with a few double whiskeys.

Danny said, “It was weird. When he came in, I had to take two pictures because I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought, “This guy looks a lot like Keanu Reeves. He sat down with six other TV people, I couldn't really hear what they were talking about, but it was all about filming and writing. He was just a nice, down to earth guy and was very polite to everyone. All the good things you think about him were true."

“He took pictures with clients and staff. He took enough time to chat with everyone. We managed to remain professional for the rest of his visit, but of course we had to take a photo with him. It's not every day that a Hollywood star comes to your pub. It made everyone's evening. He was such a cool guy and absolutely charming,” the owner said.

The Matrix action star Keanu has officially signed on to star in his first major series, Devil in the White City, seven months after "negotiating" the project.

The forever-young 57-year-old actor is set to start starring as real-life Chicago architect Daniel Burnham on a 2024 Hulu series next year.

Burnham designed several notable buildings, including the Flatiron Building in Manhattan, Union Station in Washington, D.C.; Selfridges in London and the Chicago World's Fair building in 1893.

Burnham crosses paths with serial killer H. H. Holmes, as depicted in Eric Larson's 2004 non-fiction book Devil in the White City.

It has not yet been announced who will play Holmes.

Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio will executive produce Devil in the White City alongside his longtime director, Oscar winner Martin Scorsese.
