'Fuck it': Trump swore at Netanyahu for congratulating Biden after the election
The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, has harshly criticized his once-close ally Benjamin Netanyahu. He accused him of treason and did not hesitate to use abusive language. The edition told in more detail with the BBC.
Trump, he said, was very angry because Netanyahu congratulated the current US President Joe Biden on his victory in the election.
Among other things, Trump noted that it was he who, while serving as President of the United States, "saved Israel from death."
The 45th president said all this during interviews he gave in April and July this year to Israeli journalist Barak Ravid for a book on his role in the Middle East peace process.
It is worth noting that under the Trump administration, relations between the United States and Israel were the closest in the entire history of the two countries, and between Trump and Netanyahu they looked especially warm and personal. State leaders did not even hesitate to publicly praise each other.
In conversations with Ravid, Trump accused Benjamin Netanyahu of being too rushed to congratulate Joe Biden after the 2020 elections. Trump tried to challenge the election results, but to no avail.
“The first person to congratulate Joe Biden was Benjamin Netanyahu, the man for whom I have done more than anyone. I could have remained silent. But he made a terrible mistake,” Trump fumed. “He was in a hurry, he was ahead of almost everyone.” I haven't spoken to him since then. Fuck him..."

In fact, Netanyahu was not the first to congratulate Biden. And after a few minutes, he wrote congratulations to Trump himself on Twitter.
Congratulations @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris. Joe, we've had a long & warm personal relationship for nearly 40 years, and I know you as a great friend of Israel. I look forward to working with both of you to further strengthen the special alliance between the US and Israel.

Thank you @realDonaldTrump for the friendship you have shown the state of Israel and me personally, for recognizing Jerusalem and the Golan, for standing up to Iran, for the historic peace accords and for bringing the American-Israeli alliance to unprecedented heights.

“Nobody did more for him than me. I liked him. I still like him, but I really appreciate the loyalty,” Trump continued.
Netanyahu was Israel's prime minister for a record 18 years, but left office this June after failing to form a coalition after the next general election.
In his interviews, Donald Trump said with confidence that he saved Israel from destruction.
“I’ll tell you this: if it weren’t for me, Israel would have been destroyed. Do you want to know the truth? So: Israel might not even exist by this point,” he said.
During his presidency, Donald Trump took a number of steps towards Israel that outraged the Arab world. In particular, under him, the United States recognized the indivisible Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, although in international law East Jerusalem is considered an Occupied Palestinian Territory.

In addition, the 45th President declared Jewish settlements in the Palestinian territories legal and recognized Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which the UN considers to be occupied Syrian lands.
East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights were occupied by Israel in 1967 during the Six Day War waged against it by four Arab states and Algeria.
During his presidential term, Donald Trump mediated a peace treaty between Israel and several Arab countries - Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Sudan.
This was a big breakthrough in Middle East politics, since nearly three dozen Arab states do not recognize Israel out of solidarity with the Palestinians.
And almost at the end of his presidential term, Trump, together with Netanyahu, presented in Washington his plan for a Middle East settlement, which was angrily greeted by the Palestinian side and its supporters.
