USCIS will destroy immigration documents unclaimed during 60 days
Starting from 2 in April, the Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) will destroy green cards, work permits (Employment Authorization Cards) and travel documents that were not demanded for 60 days.
We are talking about immigration documents that were sent to the customer by mail, but returned by the Postal Service due to an incorrect address or for another reason. Recipients of documents have 60 days to contact the office and clarify the address.
USCIS encourages applicants to report address changes within 10 days after the move, details of this procedure are set out on link.
