The passenger's 34 got on the wrong plane and found themselves in 1300 km from the destination
The 34 passenger of a Nextjet flight from Sundsvall to Gothenborg (Sweden) mistakenly got on the wrong plane and ended up in Luleå, located 1300 km from Gothenborg.
The CRJ-200 plane performing the flight is capable of carrying passengers to 50, which means that, at best, only the 16 people on board were on arrival where they actually flew, writes Travel and Leisure.
Due to the bad weather on the west coast of Sweden, Nextjet was forced to cancel its flight from Sundsvall to Gothenburg. However, the airline for a long time informed passengers that the flight was delayed. Therefore, after waiting for several hours, many passengers scanned their boarding passes at the gate and boarded the plane, which, in their opinion, was heading to Gothenborg, but as a result they turned out to be 1300 km from this city.
After landing, the 34 passenger found that they were in another city. At the same time, passengers who were originally supposed to fly to Luleå were mistakenly informed that their flight was canceled, so many of them stayed at Sundsvall airport.
The situation amused many passengers, they noted that, it seems, between the airline, the airport and customers there was a serious failure in communication.
Passengers who mistakenly found themselves in Luleå were given a hotel and sent to Gothenborg the next morning.
