Over 6 months, the number of jobs in the United States increased by 1,07 million. In July, the number of non-farm jobs in the United States, taking into account the seasonal adjustment, increased by 209 000 compared with the previous month. The unemployment rate fell to 4,3% from 4,4% in June due to an increase in the number of Americans joining the workforce. In July, the unemployment rate coincided with the May index and was the lowest since 2001. This is evidenced by data from the Ministry of Labor, published on Friday.

Despite the growth in employment in the labor market, economic growth has stalled around 2% per annum, which is the weakest pace since the Second World War, the growth of jobs in the economy has already been observed for 82 for a month in a row.

The average hourly earnings of private sector workers rose 9 cents last month to $ 26,36, the largest monthly increase since October. However, compared with a year earlier, wages rose by 2,5%, and this is a restrained growth, observed over a longer time this year. In the restaurant business, the number of places has increased by 53 000, healthcare - 39 000, business sector - 16 000.

The share of economically active population in July rose to 62,9% from 62,8% in June, but the number of adults working or looking for work remains at its lowest level since 1970. The U-6 unemployment rate in the USA, which takes into account part-time employees for economic reasons, remained unchanged last month at 8,6%.
