'I lost a lot of money': Trump complained about losses during the presidency
US President Donald Trump bears financial losses while he is at the White House. He said this in an interview with the publication The New York Times.

“I lost a huge amount of money doing this job [the job of the president – ed. ForumDaily], he said, ridiculing the idea that he made money from the presidential election. - You know, fortunately, I don’t need money. I'm one of the biggest losers in history. But they will say that someone from some country stayed at the hotel. And I will say: “Yes.” But I'm losing, I mean, incredible numbers."
However, he rejected suggestions that he would not stand in next year's election. “I love this job,” Trump said, referring to the presidency. And he added that he is unlikely to face a serious challenger from his party, although several Republicans are considering running.
“I don’t see it,” he said. “I have great support.”
In May, 2018, Bloomberg estimated that his fortune had declined by 100 million dollars over the year and amounted to 2,8 billion. In particular, this was due to a drop in demand for rental of space in the Trump Tower and Niketown buildings and a decrease in revenues from its golf industry.
Two months earlier, Forbes announced that Trump’s fortune had decreased by 400 million dollars, to 3,1 billion, during the presidency year.
At the same time, the fortune of Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner increased by several tens of millions of dollars over the year, writes “Lenta.ru report". The total value of their assets by the end of 2017 reached 786 million dollars (from 229 million). For the year, their income, according to various estimates, ranged from 20 to 40 million dollars.
