Cold Spring: New Winter Storm is Coming on New York

The beginning of spring on the east coast of the United States this year was very cold, three storms hit the region in two weeks, and weather forecasters predict that the fourth storm will bring snow, rain and strong winds to New York, New Jersey and Connecticut already 20- 21 March.

However, these are approximate dates, because there are still a few days left before the storm collapses and weather forecasters cannot accurately predict the time of this event, writes NBC.

It is also too early to predict the amount of rain and snow that a storm can bring, but at the moment it can be said that all three states are expecting heavy rain, snowfall, or a mixture of snow and rain. Rain is expected in most of New York City, with slight snowfall. The temperature of air from the beginning of the next week will be below normal for mid-March.

The expected time of collapse, the trajectory of movement and the intensity of the storm is very changeable, so weather forecasters can not yet give final predictions.

Since the beginning of March, three storms have already struck the east coast of the United States, leading to death, power outages and ground and air transport malfunctions. According to meteorologists, active weather will continue until the end of March and may lead to several more storms in the region this month.

2 March in the region there was a first storm. It led to the cancellation of thousands of flights and the temporary closure of some rail routes. New Jersey, the Hudson Valley and Sussex County, where more than 30 cm of snow fell, were hardest hit by this storm.

Second storm7 March, left without electricity hundreds of thousands of New Jersey residents and the Hudson Valley. More than 50 cm of snow was recorded in the districts of Rockland, Orange, Passeik and Essex.

Storm 12 March spread over almost the entire territory of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The greatest amount of snow fell in Long Island and Connecticut.

At least 7 people died due to difficult weather conditions as a result of these storms.
