For the first time in 25 years, the Russian Embassy in the USA did not receive congratulations from the US authorities on the Day of Russia.

About this in the comments RIA News reported the embassy.

“We can confirm that congratulations on Russia Day have not been received from the American side. This is the first time in our memory. Draw your own conclusions,” said Nikolai Lakhonin, a representative of the diplomatic department.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, speaking in the Senate, said that relations between the United States and Russia “are at their lowest level.” He noted that they continue to get worse.
