East coast of the US threatened by hurricane Chris

Tropical storm Chris, formed off the coast of North and South Carolinas, according to the forecast of the National Center of Hurricanes, will gain in strength the hurricane 9 of June.

The tropical storm continues to gain momentum as it is located in the warm waters of the Atlantic, writes Time.

Chris formed off the coast of North Carolina on July 6, as of July 8, it is located about 250 km off the coast of Cape Hatteras. Until now, it has been an almost motionless storm with a wind speed inside about 72 km per hour. After turning into a hurricane, the wind speed in it will be at least 95 km per hour.

From July 9 it will begin its movement north along the coast of the USA. He is not predicted to land, but the bad weather will affect the coastal regions of the country, including North Carolina and the mid-Atlantic states, early next week. Storm waves, downpours, thunderstorms and floods threaten these regions.

The most likely scenario is the weakening of the hurricane to the level of the July storm 11-12.
