In Florida, there was a new school shooting: there are wounded

In Florida in Tampa at school Middleton high school there was a shooting, writes Tampa Bay Times.

As a result of the shooting, two girls, 17 and 18, were injured. According to the police, one girl was wounded in the leg and was hospitalized. The second caught a rebound she was given medical assistance on the spot. Both girls are students of the school.

Police interrogate witnesses and lead the investigation.

"This is a rapidly changing situation and this is the latest information and we are beginning an investigation," Tampa police spokesman Eddie Durkin said.

Durkin noted that the shootout did not occur on campus. All students were evacuated from the school building Middleton high.

“It is currently unknown where the shooting came from. The police are collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. Updated information will be provided as it becomes available,” Tampa Police said in a statement released in Facebook.

16-year-old high school student Curtis Ross said that he saw medical staff carrying one of the girls to an ambulance.

According to him, he left school on 5-10 minutes earlier and was at the corner of 22 st and Osbornewhen heard shooting. Ross heard 4-5 shots and cannot tell where they came from.

“Immediately after classes ended, there were reports of shots fired in the neighboring area. Most of our students had already left campus, but some students remained at the school. Tampa police are investigating the incident. Two of our students suffered minor injuries as a result of the shooting, but they will be fine. We don’t know where the shots came from, we are waiting for information from the police,” said the school director Middleton high Kim moore

Recall that February 14 in high school in Parkland, Florida, was shot, as a result of which at least 17 people were killed and several injured. It is reported that first the attacker triggered a fire alarm that caused a panic at school, and then opened fire on the people running.

The shooter was a former student of this school. 19-year-old Nicholas Cruz. The motives of the shooter are currently not established, but it is known that he had previously been expelled from this educational institution for disciplinary reasons, calling it a “threat” to students. A young man who was adopted at birth by an elderly couple, has recently suffered from depression. His father died when the boy was still young, and his mother was buried just 3 a month ago.
