In Florida, a dog was found with its muzzle bandaged with tape - it almost suffocated
A dog with a bandaged face and bloody wounds roamed the streets of southeastern Florida, which attracted the attention of the police and the public.
The Florida Hound dog was breathing heavily, drooling and reportedly began to choke when a caring resident found him wandering around the courtyards of Lehigh Acre, located about 16 miles east of Fort Myers.
According to the police, the dog was dehydrated, looked exhausted. Wounds bled on the chest and left paw. The muzzle of the animal several times was tightly wrapped in red tape.
“A person who can do this to an animal can later do this to a person,” Sheriff Carmine Marceno told WWSB-TV.
Since then, the dog has been treated by a veterinarian and is “resting comfortably,” police said.
Authorities ask anyone who owns information about a dog, its owner or incident to call the Lee County Sheriff's office on: (239) 477-1000 or anonymously provide information to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at: 1- (800) 780-TIPS .
