"Return Ukraine control over every millimeter of land": Zelensky harshly responded to Putin

The winner of the presidential elections in Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, responded to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statement about “common” citizenship and explained under what conditions Ukraine will continue to search for “common things” with Russia.

He noted that from the common between the two countries - only the state border, writes Columnist. He published the corresponding statement on his Facebook page.

“The reality is that today, after the annexation of Crimea and aggression in the Donbass, we have one thing left in common - the state border. 2295 kilometers and 400 meters “total,” Zelensky wrote.

He emphasized that Russia must return to Ukraine control over every millimeter of land on the Ukrainian side - only in this case will it be ready to continue the search for “common.”

“And the ban on the export of petroleum products, the opening of points for issuing passports to residents of the occupied territories, and the holding of Ukrainians in captivity does not bring the settlement of relations between our countries one iota closer. Zelensky also commented on the fact that a show with his participation will be aired on the Russian TV channel (NTV channel announced the launch on May 3 of an entertainment show with Zelensky, filmed in 2011, before the start of Russian aggression against Ukraine - ed.) and invited Russian politicians “into the world of openness and publicity,” meaning the social network Facebook.

Long thought about "a lot in common" between Ukraine and Russia.
The reality is that today, after the annexation of Crimea and aggression in the Donbass, we have only one thing “in common” - the state border.

And control of every millimeter on the Ukrainian side, Russia must return.
Only then can we continue the search for the "common".

And such relations cannot be called “fraternal”.

Recall that 24 April Vladimir Putin signed a decree on simplified receipt of Russian passports residents of the LC and the DNI. The president said that Moscow has no desire to create problems for Kiev, but the situation with the rights in the Donbas goes all the way. He also admitted that all residents of Ukraine will soon be able to receive Russian passports in a simplified manner.

Vladimir Zelensky, in turn, called Moscow’s decision an attempt to seduce Ukrainian citizens.” and emphasized that Kyiv intends to “protect, provide refuge and Ukrainian citizenship to everyone who is ready to fight for freedom.”
