Thousands of Starbucks drinks are recalled in the US due to pieces of glass in bottles

More than 300 Starbucks Frappuccino vanilla drinks have been recalled after glass was found in some bottles. The Hill.

According to notification The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recalled more than 25 cases of 000 ounce frappuccinos with 13,7 bottles per case.

The agency noted that PepsiCo, which manufactures and distributes coffee chain products in the United States, voluntarily issued a Class II recall. It is used in situations in which use or exposure to an incompatible product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health effects, or where the likelihood of serious adverse health effects is low.

The recall applies to bottles with an expiration date of March 8, May 29, June 4 and 10 of the current year.

A PepsiCo spokesperson said the recalled beverages were not sold in Starbucks retail stores, adding that "the removal of these products from the market is currently ongoing."
