Almost 100 types of ice cream are recalled in the United States - it is contaminated with a dangerous bacterium

More than 95 of Velvet Ice Cream's ice creams are subject to voluntary recalls as they could potentially be contaminated with Listeria, a listeriosis-causing listeria, according to a statement released by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Writes about it Eat this.

Listeria bacteria can survive in food after refrigeration and freezing. Symptoms of the infection include chills, diarrhea, fever, muscle aches, and nausea. It can infect the nervous system and cause neck stiffness, headaches, seizures, confusion or loss of balance. Although symptoms may develop earlier, their full manifestation occurs within 30 days or more. According to The Mayo Clinic, infections are very harmful to pregnant women, the 65+ group, and people with weakened immune systems.
