There's a huge line at the first "line-free store" in the US
22 January, after more than a year of closed testing, Amazon opened its first offline store.. Supermarket Amazon Go differs in the absence of cash desks and sellers: they are replaced by cameras and an artificial intelligence system that counts purchases and automatically withdraws money from a customer’s bank card. The company promised that there would be no queues in their new store, but the opening of the first store Amazon Go in downtown Seattle was greeted by a large influx of impatient shoppers and a huge queue, writes Buzzfeed.
The queue stretched into several buildings near the store, and all this in order to get to the store, in which there will be no queues.
And many users of social networks joked about this ironic coincidence.
