In New York, will open the highest observation deck in the Western Hemisphere
New York will soon be able to surprise its visitors again with a magnificent viewing platform.

The metropolis already has some of the most famous places to see in the world, but this does not stop there. Soon Big Apple will add another one to its impressive collection.
Under the name Edge, the upcoming observation deck Hudson Yards with an incomparable view of the cityscape should open next year.
Located at an altitude of more than 1100 feet (335,2 meters), the Edge will be the highest outdoor viewing platform in the Western Hemisphere and the fifth tallest in the world.
Since the observation deck will protrude 65 feet (19.8 meters) from the building, there will be windows in the floor through which visitors can look down and take dizzying photos.

The site will consist of steel and glass 15 sections, each weighing from 35 000 to 102 000 pounds (from 15,8 to 46,2 tons). They are collected in Italy and delivered to the city by ferry.
Sections are designed to look like a puzzle in the sky, and will weigh 756 000 pounds (342,9 tons).

The 90-storey building, which will appear at: 30 Hudson Yards, was designed Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates.
It will have offices, a restaurant, a bar, an event area, many shops and tenants, such as DNB Bank, Time Warner Inc. and Wells Fargo.
According to Business Insider, Hudson Yards is the largest development project in American history, covering about 28 acres, and worth about 25 billions of dollars.

Construction began in the 2012 year and is expected to be completed in the 2024 year.
