Dutch blogger Ties Granzier and his friend Govert Charles Wilhelmus Jacob Sweep were arrested in the United States after attempting to infiltrate the 51 Zone secret base in Nevada.

Inside the car on which the blogger and his friend were traveling, law enforcement officers found several cameras, a phone, a laptop and a drone. The detainees allowed the police to watch the video that they shot on the site.

Granzier and Sweep were about to attend the event "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us"(Storm Area 51, they can't stop us all.") It was scheduled to take place on September 20, 2019 in the city of Rachel, located near a secret military base. Several million people expressed their readiness to participate in the event.

In early August, Facebook deleted comic groupdedicated to the event, as the content in it was contrary to community rules. A few days later, the administration of the social network unblocked the page, but later the organizers themselves were forced to cancel the event because of fears of a “humanitarian catastrophe”.

Some publications even wrote notes with tips on how to get to the military base and where to stay nearby. And for good reason - for example, Connie West, one of the owners of a hotel not far from the “51 Zone”, said that her phone is constantly torn from calls.

She will not be surprised if someone really wants to penetrate the base, but she hopes that it will remain a joke after all.

The topic became so popular that even representatives of the USAF had to react to it. According to information The Washington Post, they said that they were “in the know” of the assault and advised the guests “not to try to get to the area of ​​training of specialists”.

The 51 Zone is located in the state of Nevada, in 134 km northwest of Las Vegas. The US authorities only recognized its existence in 2013. Presumably, on the base they test aircraft of a new type, which, after approval by the US Air Force or the CIA, are being tested at other objects.

Prior to 2013, the military base was classified for several decades, and this led to numerous conspiracy theories. For example, many believe that they are studying aliens and UFOs, developing weather control devices or technologies of time travel and teleportation.
