Demonstrators with “poodle ears” gather in Israel

In Israel, in Tel Aviv, on the evening of June 27, a demonstration gathered against the reform of the gas industry proposed by the government. At this point, about 1000 protesters gathered in Ha-Bima Square, their number continues to increase.

Many demonstrators wore masquerade "poodle ears" and masks that depict ministers. Some of the protesters wear masks that depict Isaac Tshuva. He is the owner of the Delek group of companies, which owns a stake in all Israeli gas fields.

Demonstrators demand that the government ensure absolute “transparency” in decision-making regarding reforms in the gas sector. They want all negotiations between politicians and the management of gas companies to be published. They also demand the creation of a public commission that will monitor the fate of Israel's gas industry and also regulate gas prices.

A government meeting on gas reform is scheduled for this Sunday.
