In the US, two groups of undercover police officers attacked each other.

Detroit police officers, under cover in the eastern side of the city, began a firefight with each other. Employees thought they were pursuing drug dealers: as a result of a moderate wound, two police officers received New York Daily News.

Both groups of 12 calving police were under cover. They tracked drug trafficking in the Andover area. One pair of employees pretended to be drug dealers who were waiting for customers in the den. Instead, another pair of policemen came, who were also about to arrest drug dealers.

When everyone met, a conflict broke out between them, which ended in shooting. Due to the fact that the police demanded that they put their weapons on the ground and, after default, they started shooting, two of them were injured of moderate severity.

While there is no data, who first ceased firing. Thanks to the wearable chamber of one of them, the investigators will be able to clarify the details of what happened.

At the time of writing the news, all participants in the incident were suspended from service. An internal investigation is underway.

The head of the police department, James Craig, spoke of his disappointment: “This simply should not happen. I am glad that no one was seriously hurt. ”

However, this is not the first case when undercover police officers engage in battle with each other. So, a similar case happened at 1986 in Detroit, only then two undercover officers shot and killed each other. Since then, departments have been conducting new protocols that notify undercover police work.
