In Arizona, a fired worker found a dream job on the road
In Arizona, a dismissed employee found an unusual way to attract the attention of potential employers - to go out.
Patrick Hoagland told Fox News that he was fired when he decided to be creative.
“I looked for jobs online, filling out applications and sending companies my resume. I also stopped by local businesses and delivered my resume. After not getting any answers, I decided I needed to do something different,” he said Fox News.

“The idea of standing on the corner with a sign suddenly came to me. At first I laughed and thought it was stupid, but I kept thinking about it anyway. I thought, why not?! There are millions of people traveling around Phoenix, someone might hire me. So I printed out a whole bunch of resumes and went out,” he added.

Hoagland took to the streets of the capital of Arizona with a sign saying that he was “fired” and “looking for work”. The tablet also indicated the request: “Please take a summary.”
Some passing drivers had honked, others stopped.
The man said that after the local media wrote about him, “the phone just started going crazy [from] the offers of different people to come and talk to them”.
He told Fox News: “I was offered a bunch of vacancies, probably almost a hundred. I narrowed it down to two companies. ”

One sentence turned out to be exactly what he was looking for.
“I went on Saturday to prove myself and they liked me,” Hoagland added. “I was offered a position working at Flatline Concrete Grinding Company.”
“Female contractor Kerry Burkhart has a great company that I am so happy to get into. She is among the most honest, hardworking business owners I've ever met, and I'm so glad that they approached me. ”
