In the United States, four people died due to Hurricane Dorian. Fatal accidents occurred during preparation for the storm.

The last victim was an 38-year-old man who worked for a company hired by a hotel in Naples, Florida to cut trees before a hurricane arrived.

According to Jailin Hernandez, a forensic investigator in Collier County, a landscape engineer accidentally cut the wires while cutting trees. The man was killed by electric shock.

Earlier, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper reported that an 85-old man in Columbus County died on Wednesday when he fell down the stairs when he was preparing his home for the storm.

Two more people died in Florida, preparing their homes for the storm. An 55-year-old man from Okey, Florida, died Monday night, falling from an 15 foot (4,5 m) tree that he was trying to prune.

68-year-old David Bradley in Florida put plywood on the windows of a coastal condominium, preparing for a hurricane on Sunday afternoon. Most likely, he lost his balance and fell, after which he died. The identity of the deceased was established by the police.

Dorian, whose capacity had weakened to the 2 category, caused power outages and severe flooding on Thursday as he advanced north along the US east coast. Prior to this, the elements took at least 30 human lives in the Bahamas.
