Engine caught fire, landing gear fell off: three United Airlines planes broke down in mid-air over the past week
A United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Mexico City on March 8 was diverted to Los Angeles due to a problem with the plane's hydraulic system. This is the carrier's fourth emergency in a week, it said. CNN.

The Airbus 320, carrying 105 passengers and five crew members, landed safely in Los Angeles, according to United Airlines and the Federal Aviation Administration.
The passengers were flown to Mexico City International Airport on another plane.

The Airbus 320 is equipped with three hydraulic systems. According to preliminary information, the problem affected only one of these systems.
The department said it would investigate the incident.
Additionally, this week engine one of the planes caught fire in the air, another plane lost its landing gear after takeoff, and another one rolled off the runway.
United Airlines said in a statement that "each of these events is different and unrelated to each other."

“We take any safety incident seriously and will investigate every incident that occurred this week,” the airline said.
