Disabled Ukrainian traveled 570 kilometers on Hand bike
Ukrainian wheelchair-bound Dmitry Vasiltsov completed his marathon 570 kilometers in length. He rode a Hand bike from the town of Shostka (Sumy region, Ukraine) to the Belarusian city of Mogilev. It took him five days to overcome this distance.
Vasiltsov had a car accident ten years ago, as a result of which his spine was damaged and his legs refused. Two years a man spent in the hospital, after which he decided to play sports. He has already 25 marathons, the length of which is about forty kilometers. Such distances he traveled in an ordinary wheelchair.
But Vasiltsov overcame such a huge distance of 570 kilometers on the Hand bike for the first time. He said that during the marathon he got up at four in the morning, at six in the morning he was on the way. All along the way was the attendant on the car, which carried spare parts for the Hand bike.
Dmitry Vasiltsov dedicated his super marathon to friendship between Ukraine and Belarus. Dmitry's plans are a new marathon. He wants to overcome two thousand kilometers and drive from Shostka to the Polish city of Slubice.
