Twitter will not include photos and links under the limit in 140 characters
The social network Twitter intends to provide its users to publish full text messages in the amount of 140 characters, even if there are links or pictures in tweets. At the moment, additional elements take up to 23 space marks even with automatic compression.
According to Bloomberg, the changes will occur within the next two weeks, and so far the decision has not been officially announced.
However, in January, Twitter creator Jack Dorsey, who returned shortly before the post of CEO, said that the company is exploring new ways to display messages and plans to experiment based on user behavior.
According to Dorsey, companies need to provide users with additional features, given the competition from other social networks.
However, the previous Twitter idea about removing restrictions on 140 characters on the message (the new ceiling was planned to be installed at around 10 thousand characters) did not receive a continuation. The company refused to criticize potential innovations by many users.
Refusing to include pictures and links as symbols will allow users to use more media content in their posts.
In February, Twitter launched a new feature that allows users to customize the tape based on their personal interests, and tweets appear in order of priority.
