Internet giant Twitter intends to remove the restriction in 140 characters when writing messages on its network. According to the website Re / code, Twitter is thinking about increasing the volume of the message to 10 thousands of characters. Innovation can be implemented in March.

At the same time, the head of Twitter, Jack Dorsey did not confirm this message, although he stated that the company intends to give users more options. Dorsey also pointed out that Twitter users have long learned to circumvent the rule of 140 characters by attaching screenshots (screenshots) with long texts to messages.

The length of 140 characters was introduced by the company back in the year 2006 when opening the service. One part of users supported this, since the restriction contributed to the concentration of thoughts when writing a tweet. Others regularly criticized this rule, requiring more space to express their thoughts.

To date, more than 500 million users have been registered there, about 302 million of which are active.
