Trump accused Putin of trying to “wreak havoc” in the US

US President Donald Trump believes that Russian lawyer Natalya Veselnitskaya could act on instructions from Kremlin head Vladimir Putin when she said that she was an informant for the Russian government during a meeting with Trump’s campaign staff in 2016.

According to the head of the United States, by asking the lawyer to make such a statement, Putin aimed to “sow chaos” in the United States in response to the decisive actions of the American administration taken against Russia, writes CNN.

Recall Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya admitted that she was an informant for the Kremlin during a meeting with representatives of the election campaign of Donald Trump. The meeting took place in 2016 year in the building Trump Tower.

She stated this in an interview NBC NewsVeselnytska previously denied ties to the Russian government.

“I am a lawyer and informer, since 2013, I have been actively communicating with the service of the Russian Attorney General,” said Veselnitskaya.

In an interview Veselnitskaya also said that she worked for Yuri Chaika, who at the time of the meeting was the Prosecutor General of Russia. But in November 2017, Veselnitskaya claimed before the Senate Law Committee that she “had no links with Chaika, his representatives and institutions, other than those required by the professional status of a lawyer.”

However, the received electronic correspondence shows that Veselnitskaya worked closely with Chaika on the protection of the Russian businessman’s real estate company, Prevezon Holding, which was accused of fraud in the United States. The US Department of Justice has entered into a settlement agreement with the firm providing for the payment of 6 million dollars, which the company has not yet made.

In the summer of 2016, the son and son-in-law of Donald Trump, as well as the then head of his campaign headquarters met with a Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya.

According to Trump Jr., the meeting was organized by his friends; the lawyer initially promised to provide compromising on Clintonbut focused the conversation on Magnitsky’s list and the adoption program of Russian children by Americans.

Later it became known that the meeting was organized by music publisher Rob Goldstone at the request of Russian singer Emin Agalarov.

July 11 Donald Trump Jr made public the correspondence concerning this meeting. From the published correspondence it follows that Rob Goldstone told Trump Jr. about the presence of compromising documents about the connection of Hillary Clinton with Russia, and the meeting with Veselnitskaya concerned these particular data.

Veselnitskaya claims no one passed on Clinton to her.and she considered Magnitsky’s list and the adoption program for Russian children in the United States to be the topic of the meeting.

Later it turned out that one of the participants in the meeting was also a 52-year-old businessman, a native of Russia, and now an American citizen Irakli Kaveladze.
