Top New York City Car Hijacked Areas

You can be left without a car if you park it in these areas of the Big Apple.

Streets in Eastern New York, Sheepshead Bay and Washington Heights are the worst car hackers, the new report says SpotAngels, writes New York Post.

Last year in the parking lot Gateway center 38 car hacking was reported, which made the mall East new york the worst place for cars in 2017 year.

In second place was the block 3900 Shore parkway in Sheepshead Bay with 18 hacks, and intersection Amsterdam avenue and 190's street in Washington Heights.

The top 10 list includes four blocks of the Bronx, and three each in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The study also examined trends in the city and surrounding areas, and found that parks and their neighborhoods were among the most dangerous places to park your car.

According to the study Bronx's Van Cortlandt Park was No. 1, but Pelham bay park - No. 3.

В Flushing meadows-corona-park Queens registered 3,3 hacks for every 100 locations.

And the district Brooklyn Prospect-Gardens Gardens ranked first in the city with 1,8 hacks on 100 seats.

In some quarters, a greater number of thefts were observed, but their percentages were not so large, because there were more parking places.

Williamsburg registered a higher frequency of hacking cars than in areas with higher crime rates, including Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville, Said SpotAngels.

Most hacked cars in Brooklyn in 2017 year - 6 263. The Bronx finished second with 6 194 cases.

5 020 is registered in Queens, while 2 370 is registered in Manhattan and 984 in Staten Island.
