US resumes premium H-1B visa application for doctors
Starting from 26, the United States Citizenship and Emigration Service (USCIS) will resume the premium processing of H-1B visa applications for highly qualified doctors enrolled in the program Conrad 30 waiver or participate in programs of other interested state institutions. According to this program, foreign doctors who studied in America on a J1 visa can apply for a temporary visa of the form H-1B, which gives you the opportunity to work for three years in an American medical institution as prescribed by the US Department of Health.
Doctors with H-1B visas work in rural and urban areas of the United States, according to USCIS. “Thanks to this program, more Americans living in remote areas will be able to receive qualified medical care. Therefore, we are pleased to resume the processing of visa applications,” said USCIS Acting Director James McCament.
C 26 July doctors participating in the program Conrad 30 and other government programs may apply for an I-907 form, an application for premium processing of the I-129 form and a petition to a nonimmigrant worker. The I-907 form may be filed with the H-1B petition.
In USCIS, it is noted that for all other categories of citizens, the submission of applications H-1В is not available. The ministry promised to inform when this option will be renewed.
Recall, April 3 US Citizenship and Migration Service suspended premium H-1B visa applications. The ministry noted that a temporary suspension would help reduce the overall processing time for the H-1B visa. The Immigration Service will be able to process applications that are pending for a significant amount of time and which the service cannot approve due to the large volume of applications over the past few years.
Visa type H-1B gives the right to enter and work in the United States. These visas are issued to qualified employees who have at least bachelor status and 12 years of experience. They are also issued on the lottery principle: in 2016, 85 thousands of available visas were claimed by 236 thousands of people.
