A schoolboy from Britain turned out to be smarter than Einstein and Hawking: he scored the highest possible score in an IQ test

Yusuf's friends in Leeds, UK always told him that he was very smart, but he wanted to see for himself by taking the Mensa test.

He scored 162 points - the maximum IQ for children under 18 years old, which puts him on a par with the smartest people on the planet. Yusuf celebrated his special achievement with a dinner at Nando's restaurant with his parents and brothers. Stephen Hawking is said to have scored 160 points.

It is believed that Albert Einstein, who never officially took the test, also scored 160, as did Hawking.

The sixth grader hopes to study math at Cambridge or Oxford and says he loves doing anything that stimulates his brain. When not studying, the math genius loves to solve sudoku and collect Rubik's cubes. He started playing with the iconic dice in January and it only took him a month to complete them with ease.

Yusuf said: “I always wanted to know if I was in the top two percent of people taking the test. It seems unique to me to have such a certificate.”

“This test is difficult to prepare for,” said his father, Irfan Shah. “We just did what we were already doing—nothing special for an IQ test.”

Yusuf showed signs of genius from early childhood, Irfan said.

“He just has a natural talent for math, and I think that’s when we realized it. Even his school teachers always said, “We have nothing to teach him,” he said.

“I was so proud. He is the first in his family to take the Mensa test. I still tell him, “Your dad is still smarter than you.” We take everything simply. Even if you are talented, you must be the hardest worker,” said happy mother Sana. Yusuf's eight-year-old brother Khalid also hopes to take the Mensa test when he's older.
