Recreational marijuana in San Francisco will start selling from January 6
San Francisco may start selling recreational marijuana on January 6.
This is stated in the order, signed by the mayor of Edom Lee, which approved the rules for the sale of recreational marijuana, writes NBC.
The document also regulated the procedure for issuing permits for the sale of cannabis in San Francisco and identified places where you can open the relevant stores.
According to the rules for selling recreational marijuana in California, potential sellers must first obtain a license from local authorities before receiving a license from the state.
Sale of recreational marijuana will become legal in California from January 1, but San Francisco will not be ready to start selling by this day. More 40 city retail outlets that now have the right to sell medical cannabis can also start selling recreational cannabis from January 6, if they comply with local state and regulations.
