'Racist country': American Jews call for exclusion of Congresswoman from Congress and party
One of the oldest Jewish organizations in America called for a member of the House of Representatives, Rashid Tleib, to be expelled from Congress and the Democratic Party.

In an article on the website, the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) accused Rashid Tleib of anti-Semitism.
“Rashida Tlaib’s anti-Israel stance was known even before she was elected in last year’s midterm elections,” the ZOA article said. She calls Israel a “racist country” based on lies that Israel uses to discriminate against “black people.” She also supports the destruction of Israel in favor of an Arab-dominated state (“it should be one state”).”
ZOA backs up its allegations with links to news that quotes the 42-year-old Palestinian-American lawmaker from Detroit.
The same article contains a list of people with whom Tleib was in the photo or that Tleib mentioned in messages on social networks, as well as information about their alleged connections with explosions or other crimes.

“The Democratic Party must do the only decent thing,” they continued. “It means expelling her from the party and from congressional committees.”
Since taking office in January, Tleyb has become a lightning rod for criticism from both Republicans and members of her own party.
She quickly attracted the attention of the entire country several hours after she took the oath, when she used profanity, calling to impeach President Trump.
In March, Tleyb condemned anti-Semitism in an interview with Detroit News.
“I always fight back,” Tlaib said of anti-Semitism. “But this will continue because I am Palestinian.”
She argued that an important distinction must be made between anti-Semitism and its criticism of the policies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
