The teenager seized control of the aircraft over Alaska and almost made an accident

According to police, a teenager from Alaska, sitting in the passenger seat of a small plane, briefly took control during a short commercial flight, causing the plane to fall.

16-year-old boy was arrested last week, writes Fox News. It is reported that he, along with other passengers flying on a commuter plane from Napakiak to Bethel.

The chaos began when the teenager took control of the plane shortly after takeoff, causing "the plane to make a steep climb and then dive toward the ground," state police officials said. A woman who was sitting behind the teen grabbed him by the neck and pulled him away from the dashboard, police said. What the pilot was doing at that time is not reported.

As soon as the plane stabilized its position, the flight returned to Napakiak. Flying between two small communities usually takes about four minutes.

After the plane landed, the teenager managed to slip away before the authorities could detain him. The next day he was arrested in Bethel, north of Napakiak.

The Piper Cherokee Six was the model used in the flight, which included three other people. The plane does not have a mechanism to override passenger flight controls, said Keith Henthorn, the airline's business manager. The airline will still allow passengers to sit in the front of the plane, he said.

The name of the teenager was not made public due to age. However, interference with the flight crew in the United States is considered a federal crime.
