Two tornadoes swept across New York State

The US National Weather Service reported two tornadoes formed in New York State on May 16.

As a result of the fall of a large tree on a car, an 11-year-old girl died, which at that moment was in a car. Police in Newburgh said that the girl and her mother came home and unloaded the car when a strong wind broke the tree and it fell onto the vehicle. As a result, the child died, and the mother received minor injuries.

Due to the bad weather, hundreds of flights were canceled or postponed, the railway traffic was also temporarily suspended. Thousands of people were stuck at airports and train stations.
