The original map of the forest of books about Winnie the Pooh put up for auction

The original map of the Stoaak Forest, which Winnie the Pooh was strolling through and all of them all, was put up for sale at Sotheby's auction house, writes Air force.

The author of Winnie the Pooh books, Alan Milne, was born in London in 1882.

He wrote a number of very successful plays, and also was the editor of several magazines, but entered the treasury of world literature as the author of children's books about the teddy bear Winnie the Pooh, the prototype of which was the toy bear of his little son Christopher Robin, named after another character in these books .

In 1925, Milne with his wife and son moved from London to a large house near the town of Heartfield in East Sussex. Near their house was Ashdown Forest, described by Milne in books and drawn by Ernest Shepard.

Milne and Shepard worked together on four books, published in separate editions - “Winnie the Pooh” (1926), “The House on Pooh Edge” (1928), the poem “When We Were Very Young” (1924) and “We Are Already Six” ( 1927).
