An illegal immigrant raped and strangled a New Jersey resident while jogging
24 March in the lake in Lincoln Park, in Jersey City, was found the body of Caroline Kano's 45 year-old nanny. The woman went for a run and did not return. Murder charge was brought against an illegal immigrant from Honduras.

Authorities have confirmed that the accused is an illegal immigrant who came to the United States from Honduras, writes Fox News. 33-year-old Jorge Rios was arrested on March 31 and sent to prison.
Kano’s apartment mates said that an 45-year-old Peruvian woman who worked as a nanny in Jersey City went for a run in 5: 30 in the morning on March 24. Every morning she ran and then went to work. Home Carolina did not return. Around 7: 30 in the morning her body was found in the lake.
An autopsy revealed that Kano was raped and strangled, after which her body was drowned in a lake.

Citing video evidence, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop said Rios and Cano did not know each other - he said the selection of the victim was random.
“We detained the same person, as his statements confirm,” Fulop said.
Rios was imprisoned in Hudson County in Kearney. He was charged with murder, kidnapping and aggravated sexual violence. A court hearing is scheduled for April 4.
