A man accidentally found out that 9 months ago won the lottery $ 1 million

Cornelius Naujoks from the town of Whitecourt in the Canadian province of Alberta decided to clean up his office when he accidentally discovered a piece of paper - a ticket that was drawn 9 months ago.

Just in case, the man decided to check the ticket - and it turned out to be a winner. Moreover, Cornelius was owed an incredible amount - almost a million US dollars, writes New York Post.

A ticket for the popular local lottery Lotto Max had been sitting on the table for many months. Upon discovering it, the man “experienced a lot of emotions,” by his own admission.

“I took it to the store and I couldn’t believe it when I checked the ticket and all the zeros came up on the screen,” he said.

It clarifies News.com.au, in fact, after the drawing, Cornelius checked the main numbers - but did not take into account that the drawing of fifteen numbers was carried out separately. It was he who brought Naujoks a huge amount of money.

The winner plans to spend the won million to buy a house and a new car.

“I have already talked to car dealers,” he told reporters. “I would really like to buy a Ford Mustang GT.”

Recall that two days ago American won millions thanks to a rainy day. Martin mowed the lawn after work, when a downpour suddenly began. The man hid a lawnmower and went to the grocery store. There he decided to purchase several scratch tickets. The man erased a protective layer on one of them and saw that he had won the main prize - ten million dollars.

Lottery representatives gave Martin a choice: either to get all ten million in installments over 30 years, or to pick up 6,6 million dollars right away by paying a tax on the winnings, and the man preferred the second option.
