The Russian Foreign Ministry wants foreigners to sign a 'loyalty agreement' when entering Russia

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs invites foreign citizens to sign a “loyalty agreement.” It provides for their agreement to comply with a number of restrictions when entering the country, including a ban on discrediting the state policy of the Russian Federation, denying traditional family values ​​and distorting the contribution of the Soviet people to the victory over fascism, reports TASS.

“The consent of loyalty is the permission of the state bodies of the Russian Federation for the entry of a foreign citizen into the Russian Federation, on the one hand, and the consent of a foreign citizen, expressed by entering the Russian Federation, in compliance with the prohibitions established in order to protect the national interests of the Russian Federation, on the other hand,” - the document says.

As follows from the draft law, a foreigner entering Russia during the period of stay (residence) on the territory of the Russian Federation is prohibited from “interfering with the activities of public authorities of the Russian Federation, discrediting in any form the foreign and domestic state policy of the Russian Federation, public authorities and their officials.”

The document provides that migrants will be prohibited from “abusing the right to freedom of information, including by disseminating information aimed at belittling or inducing the denial of constitutionally significant moral and other values, including ideas about marriage as a union of a man and a woman, family, motherhood, fatherhood, childhood, propaganda of non-traditional sexual relationships, distortion of the historical truth about the feat of the Soviet people in defending the Fatherland and its contribution to the victory over fascism.”

The list of alleged prohibitions included actions aimed at inducing the adoption, amendment, repeal of laws, as well as careless attitude towards the environment, natural resources, material and cultural values ​​of the Russian Federation.

The bill stipulates that foreigners will also be prohibited from showing disrespect for the diversity of regional and ethnocultural ways of life of the Russian population and traditional Russian spiritual and moral values. This document can prohibit them from activities that harm Russia.
