Doctors have called the cause of indisposition dozens of people on the flight Emirates to New York

Around 10, people aboard an Emirates aircraft flying from Dubai to New York, which 5 September was quarantined at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, are now in the hospital and are being tested for respiratory diseases.

New York Health Commissioner Oxyris Barbot noted that the cause of the illness of several passengers on flight number XXUMX of Emirates was “probably the flu,” writes CNN.

She added that doctors will know more when they receive the results of the respiratory tests of three passengers and seven crew members.

5 September 106 out of more than 500 flight passengers after landing in New York reported symptoms such as cough, fever or vomiting.

All passengers were checked by officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Most of them were allowed to continue the journey.

A CDC official said officials are looking at several possible causes for the outbreak on the plane: Respiratory illnesses (influenza or Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, a viral respiratory illness first identified in 2012).

One of the passengers of the plane noted that some people showed signs of illness when they were still in Dubai.

“I asked the flight attendant for a mask before we even took off, but there were no masks on the plane. It was obvious that a large number of people were sick long before takeoff,” Erin Sykes said.

She added that many people were coughing and complaining of fever.

The crew warned passengers that the landing at the airport in New York is likely to be delayed due to the need to check for ill passengers.

The plane at Kennedy Airport was quarantined, he was met by several ambulances.

All passengers were measured for temperature and carried out other tests immediately after landing, and only then were allowed into the terminal.

They were also asked to fill out special forms and warned that they would “track” their condition for the next three weeks to make sure that they did not have any diseases.
