Kuwaiti Airlines refuse New York - London flights because of Israeli

Kuwait's national airline, Kuwait Airlines, has announced that the carrier will not operate flights between New York and London due to claims by an Israeli who was denied tickets.

As stated in the message portal Arutz 7, this decision was made after the US Department of Transport received a complaint about two and a half months ago from Eldad Gat, an Israeli citizen who lives in the UK.

The man tried to purchase a ticket for a Kuwait Airlines flight from New York to London, but discovered that Israel was not on the company's list. The incident occurred in 2013, but, as the Ministry of Transport explained, it is far from the first - and not the last.

The US authorities have demanded explanations from the airline in connection with apparent discrimination. In response, representatives of the Kuwaiti Airlines explained that Kuwaiti law forbids any cooperation with Israel and Israelis. To which the US authorities made it clear: US law is a priority in the United States.

The company was warned that if the attitude towards the owners of Israeli passports will not change, the company will face a large fine. And in the future - a warning about the restriction of activities in the United States.

In response to accusations of a discriminatory approach, Kuwait Airways chose to stop flying from the United States to the UK, but not to allow Israelis to board their aircraft.

Earlier, Forum wrote that the American airline Delta Airlines said about adding four more flights a week between Tel Aviv and New York from May 2016.
