DPRK announced the desire of 3,5 million Koreans to join the army to confront the United States

3,457 million people from 9 to 12 August filed applications, "begging" to join or reinstate the North Korean armed forces in connection with the new sanctions against the DPRK imposed by the United States and the United Nations.

Most of the applications were submitted by students, workers and retired military, among them there are also heads of local authorities and farmers, including women. In North Korea, compulsory military service is in force, all citizens are subject to conscription upon reaching 17 years.

2 August US President Donald Trump signed a law that tightened sanctions against North Korea, and on August 5 the UN Security Council unanimously approved the introduction of new sanctions against Pyongyang for the development of a nuclear missile program.

From now on, North Korea is forbidden to export coal, iron, lead and seafood. The accounts of the Bank of Foreign Trade of the DPRK are frozen, the North Korean maritime vessels violating UN resolutions are barred from entering the ports of all states.

A proposal to introduce new sanctions against North Korea was made by the United States. In Washington, they explained this with the response to the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles by Pyongyang.

After the imposition of a sanction North Korea promised cruel revenge on the States. In response, Trump promised to respond to North Korea with “fire and rage,” the DPRK in turn threatened to launch a missile strike on the territory of the US Pacific island of Guam.
