Government Guam tells residents how to survive a nuclear attack

The Office of Civil Defense and the Guam Security Service released a two-page newsletter on how to prepare for an attack and what to do if the attack actually happens.

Here are some basic tips:

• “Make a list of potential shelters near your home, work or school.”
• "Don't look at the flash or fireball - it could blind you."
• “Lie down on the ground and cover your head. If the explosion is some distance away, it may take 30 seconds or more for the shock wave to reach. ”
• “If possible, take a shower with plenty of soap and water ... do not clean or scratch the skin.”
• “Do not use hair conditioner because it will combine radioactive material with you.”

Recall that in recent weeks, North Korea held a series of ballistic missile tests that are said to be capable of reaching the United States.

According to the head of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, the test was aimed at "giving a stern warning to the United States." China called on the DPRK not to provoke the world with new tests.

According to officials in Washington, the DPRK’s new missile test has demonstrated that the regime in Pyongyang may have a means of delivering a nuclear warhead to most of the mainland territory of the United States.

2 August US President Donald Trump signed a law that tightened sanctions against North Korea, and on August 5 the UN Security Council unanimously approved the introduction of new sanctions against Pyongyang for the development of a nuclear missile program.

From now on, North Korea is forbidden to export coal, iron, lead and seafood. The accounts of the Bank of Foreign Trade of the DPRK are frozen, the North Korean maritime vessels violating UN resolutions are barred from entering the ports of all states.

A proposal to introduce new sanctions against North Korea was made by the United States. In Washington, they explained this with the response to the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles by Pyongyang.

After the imposition of a sanction North Korea promised cruel revenge on the States.
