A Californian is the owner of the longest language in the world: he admitted that there are many advantages to this

Nick Stoberl, a 33-year-old artist from California, is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the owner of the longest tongue in the world. As it turns out, this is a very useful feature. New York Post.

Stoberl set the record in 2012. Its 10cm tongue is so long it can hold five donut rings. The average length of the tongue in an adult male is 8,5 cm, and in an adult woman it is 7,9 cm.

He says he doesn't even need a tissue to wipe food off his face. It also helps him eat ice cream more efficiently and reach for the pudding at the bottom of the cup.

“One of the most useful things my tongue offers is not having to use a napkin,” he said in an interview with Guinness World Records.

He also turned his unique feature into a kind of talent - Stoberl wraps cling film around his tongue and dips it in multi-colored paint to paint.

“I use my tongue to create... I guess you could call it art,” he told Guinness World Records. “I wrap the tongue in cling film, dip it in acrylic paint and paint on canvas.”

“I know it's quite long, but I can do it, so why not express myself through this medium?” - he said.

Since he became the owner of the longest tongue in the world, Stoberl has starred in an advertising campaign for Diesel. It was even featured in an Italian TV program called "La Notte Dei Record" in 2018. He also unsuccessfully auditioned for America's Got Talent.

Such a language has some drawbacks, such as an increased risk of choking in a dream. Stoberl says he also receives strange online messages with ambiguous content.

“I always knew I had a long tongue, just like you would know if your hand was bigger,” Stoberl explained.

Stoberl's younger brother, Chad, also has a long tongue, but falls short of the record. Sometimes, according to Stoberl, the two stick their tongues out at each other just for fun, like when they were kids.

Other record holders for the longest tongue include Chanel Tupper, the woman with the longest tongue at 9,6 cm, and Dante Barnes, who holds the record among men for the largest tongue circumference at 12 cm. The record holder for the largest mouth in the world is a woman from Connecticut named Samantha Ramsdell.
