Famous actors and the mayor have taken part in a multi-thousand protest action in New York. Video

On the eve of the inauguration of the elected 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, Hollywood actors and celebrities, including Robert De Niro and Julianne Moore, came to a protest rally held at the Trump Tower skyscraper in New York.

In total, several thousand people gathered at the rally, they held signs that read “Fight Trump every day” and “Justice and civil rights for all.”

Actor Alec Baldwin, who regularly parodies Trump on the comedy show Saturday Night Live, spoke in front of thousands of people, including on behalf of his character.

“I just want to say that I’ve been standing here in the cold for a long time. I need to go to the toilet, I want to pee. But I hold back, I hold on, I won’t write. I have a meeting at the Russian embassy this evening, I’ll hold out until I get there,” the actor parodied Trump.

After that, he spoke at the rally on his own behalf: “Donald Trump, Steve Bannon and Mike Pence, all these people - part of the Trump administration - think that you will give up. But what they don’t understand is that New Yorkers never give up.”

“When we are challenged, we have the opportunity to show that love, equality and unity can overcome hatred and discrimination,” Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon said during her speech.

Almost all of the Hollywood stars who came before had already openly expressed their hostility towards Trump.

Singer Scher made a real fight with Trump on Twitter, and actor Mark Ruffalo, before the elections, urged people not to vote for the Republican.

Actor Robert De Niro repeatedly publicly unflatteringly spoke about Trump, called him a madman and a shame for the country.

Oscar-winning director Michael Moore was, according to the American media, one of the organizers of the rally.

Those who came to the rally promised not to allow Trump to finalize until the end of the presidential term.

At the venue of the protest, Trump's doll was installed, giving out apocalyptic predictions.

Almost simultaneously with the protest, a concert was held in Washington, where Donald Trump promised voters to “unite” America.

“We intend to unite the country... We want to make America great for all the people. For each and everyone throughout our country,” Trump said at the end of the 2-hour concert.
