Immigration agents arrest 49 illegal immigrants during a raid in Philadelphia
Over the past seven days, 49 foreign nationals have been arrested in Philadelphia in a security operation conducted by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

It turned out that out of 49 arrested illegal immigrants, 17 were criminal cases, and 14 of them are awaiting criminal charges. In addition, 6 foreigners were previously expelled from the United States and subsequently returned illegally.
Examples of arrests:
14 May: ICE agents arrest a 52-year-old illegal from Mexico. He was accused of attacks and terrorist threats. He will remain in ICE custody awaiting immigration proceedings.
May 14: ICE agent arrested a 40-year-old formerly deported Jamaican citizen. He was arrested after showing police officers a fake ID and previously distributing marijuana, for which he was imprisoned for 37 months.
May 15: ICE agent arrests 40-year-old formerly deported Dominican citizen. He distributed heroin, for which he was sentenced to imprisonment for 41 a month.
May 15: ICE agent arrested a 22-year-old Colombian. He has a conviction for aggravated attacks, for which he was sentenced to 11-17 months in prison.
May 17: ICE agent arrested a 35-year-old Mexican who did not have documents. He is awaiting criminal charges in Philadelphia for aggravated assault.
“This operation has resulted in numerous arrests of criminal immigrants who have violated our nation's immigration laws,” said Acting Division Director Gregory Brawley. “Some of these dangerous people were released onto the streets rather than turned over to ICE agents.” ICE will continue to conduct operations to further its mission and hold accountable those who compromise the sanctity of our immigration laws and the safety of our citizens.”
