Group of Russians in New York accused of organizing a network for the provision of sex services

Manhattan prosecutors have accused a group of Russians of promoting prostitution and organizing a sex service network.

Russian Ksenia Khodukina grew up in Chelyabinsk, then she moved to New York and later to Florida, where she runs a beauty salon called Beauty by Ksenia in Hallandale Beach. At least, that’s what she claims, but the Manhattan prosecutor’s office thinks differently - according to investigators, Khodukina and her husband Evgeny Rizanov (both Russian citizens) actually remotely managed a sex services network called Russian Dolls from their apartment in Trump Towers III. writes Miami New Times.

Khodukina and Rizanov were arrested in Sunny Isles Beach on July 11, the next day they were sent to Manhattan. Both suspects did not plead guilty to the promotion of prostitution, which is imputed to them.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a warrant for the arrest of apartment # XXUMX owned by a Russian woman in Trump Towers III.

Prosecutors claim that the couple for three years, from 2015 to 2018, shipped women from Russia to New York. Khodukina, Rizanov, and the third defendant, Arkady Bashkatov, then placed women in Brooklyn to provide sex services, booking hotel rooms for them and hiring drivers.

Assistant Manhattan District Attorney James Lynch stated that the couple had organized a “complex long-term prostitution promotion campaign” and that the defendants “shared money with women, but withdrew a certain percentage from their incomes”.

Manhattan prosecutors explained that they began to study the alleged network of sex services after the arrest of two sex workers who said they were part of the Russian Dolls group. The court appointed Khodukina and Rizanov to secure the amount of 50 000 and 100 000 dollars, respectively.
