Google will block files on 'drive' that violate company policies

Google will consider the following as dangerous files:

• malware and viruses;
• content aimed at inciting hatred;
• files resulting from the actions of cybercriminals;
• sexually explicit content;
• potentially dangerous data for children.

These files cannot be shared with or made available to other users. In addition, they will be marked with a special flag.

Owners will receive an email notifying them of the action taken and a warning on how to request a revision of the restrictions if they deem it to be an error.

Google explains that it can make "exceptions based on artistic, educational, documentary or scientific considerations." This suggests that the automatic review process can be supplemented with an editorial handling element.
