Jill Stein collected $ 2 million to recount in key states

Jill Stein, a spokesman for the American Green Party, does not agree with the outcome of the US presidential election. About 1% of voters voted for it. She intends to demand a recalculation of votes in a number of key states: Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, where she considers Trump's victory as “abnormal”, writes The Guardian.

Stein launched online page to raise funds that are needed for a recount in each state:

• Wisconsin: $ 1.1 million to November 25
• Pennsylvania: $ 0.5 million to November 28
• Michigan: $ 0.6 million to November 30.

At the time of writing the news, $ 2 582 457 has arrived at the account. This is enough to challenge the results in Wisconsin, where the deadline runs out on Friday.

“These issues must be investigated before the results of the 2016 presidential election are officially certified,” Stein insisted in his statement. “We deserve elections we can trust.”

Meanwhile, supporters of Hillary Clinton came up with a similar initiative, writes Euronews. A team of electoral law experts and computer experts urged the ex-Secretary of State to also require re-processing of ballots in these 3 states. Activists want to make sure that during the voting there were no cyber attacks to manipulate the election results.

Previously, they drew attention to the fact that the results of Hillary Clinton turned out to be noticeably lower in those constituencies in which the electronic vote count was conducted, compared to those using paper ballots and optical scanners.

However, at the election headquarters, Clinton has not yet expressed any interest in joining the struggle for a recount.
